David K. Gallegos, M.D. – Otolaryngologist

Gallegos
My interest in ENT is simple, the study of the head and neck encompasses the majority of our sense – how we perceive the world and how the world perceives us.

Dr. Gallegos’ passion for medicine originated at the age of seven when his older brother suffered a serious injury. From that point forward he resolved to learn as much about medicine as possible to help others. He enjoys the ability to treat people of all ages resulting often times in caring for several members of one family. His specific expertise includes disorders of the ear including chronic infection and hearing loss. In addition, Dr. Gallegos has special interests in disorders of the salivary glands, thyroid glands, parathyroid glands and sinuses. He has completed special training in an endoscopic technique, sialendoscopy, to address issues such as stones and troublesome dry mouth.

“My interest in ENT is simple,” says Dr. Gallegos. “The study of the head and neck encompasses the majority of our sense – how we perceive the world and how the world perceives us.” From the elegance of facial aesthetics, to the life-sustaining airway, to the critical and defining trait of one’s voice, Dr. Gallegos has a passion for restoring and maintaining quality of life by treating a wide variety of diseases of the head and neck.

Dr. Gallegos and his wife have two children. In his leisure time he enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and traveling.
