Expert Audiological Care
One way we ensure top-quality care is by making sure to give each person who comes into our offices the individualized care and attention they deserve.
Here are the Audiology services we offer:
• Hearing Loss
Both children and adults can suffer from hearing loss, though the symptoms may differ between the two groups. For example, an adult might miss parts of a conversation, while a child’s speech might be delayed or poor.
• Hearing Assessments
The type and degree of hearing loss can be found by examining the patient’s hearing sensitivity, which will help create the best treatment strategy.
• Tinnitus Evaluations, Counseling, and Management
Tinnitus is an auditory hallucination; in other words, a sound that a person hears even though it does not exist externally. It can take the form of ringing, buzzing, roaring, or clicking sounds and can be constant or intermittent. Additionally its level of disturbance may vary from person to person.
• Hearing Aids
Depending on your hearing levels and the environment you are in, wearing a hearing aid can greatly improve your experience by amplifying sound. There is a wide variety of styles available that differ in size, power, and abilities.
• Active Listening Devices (ALDs)
Active listening devices (ALDs) let people with hearing loss hear better by making sounds louder. Some also eliminate or reduce background noise. You can use them in different situations, like when you’re talking to one person or at a noisy conference.
• Custom Ear Plugs
Wearing earplugs protects your ears from exposure to loud noises, wind, and foreign objects like water. Custom earplugs fit better and provide more protection than generic earplugs.
• Custom Ear Molds
Ear molds are custom-made earplugs that help protect your ears and improve comfort and performance in hearing aids. They can reduce feedback and maximize audibility, making it easier to hear what you need to.
• Vestibular Evaluations
If your physician believes you may have vestibular issues, they will likely refer you for tests such as Videonystagmography (VNG), Electrocochleography (ECOG), Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), and Vestibular-Evoked Myogenic Potential (cVEMP).
